Be Yourself

These students are all the same
All dressed alike
They are the ones to blame
None of them act how they'd like
Because they don't want anyone to think they're lame

I wish they would just act themselves
And be unique
They could act like elves
Or act like a freak
I want to tell them to act themselves

It's mostly the girls,
That has to have the name brand clothes
All of the pearls,
Painted toes,
And long curls.

I try not to fall into the trap
And be myself,
Although no one gave me a map
Put those clothes back on the shelf
And give myself a clap
